When God speaks

My name is Dopu and my wife is Tsenge. For almost 20 years, we both have walked with Jesus. In March 2022, we heard God speak to us about Texas. It was a complete surprise to us; I just had to laugh. Neither of us had a love for America in our hearts; it was just a word from God. Still, we asked, "How can we take steps with Your guidance, Lord?” In January 2023, we decided to fly to Texas with our three children to receive further confirmation from God. Just before our plane landed in Austin, a bible verse popped up on my phone. It was Isaiah 43:18-19, and I felt that God was speaking to us through this verse.

The next morning, I walked around the HfaN compound, the place God had called us to, and prayed. My mind went over the confirmation of our call and how my children would respond. Suddenly I felt as if God was saying to me, "I will do it; you will see.” Those words relieved and relaxed me. For the first week, our family's daily life went on as normal. Our children were so happy to be on the property. They loved their rooms and their beds, and they loved the four-acre-garden to play. All these things gave us more confidence that it was from God. We also spent a lot of time with the people who live there. It just felt like family.

God is waiting with open arms.

More confirmation came in the following week. For instance, after a prayer meeting, a brother approached us and said he had prayed for missionaries from Asia and Mongolia for 20+ years.

After 20 days in Texas, it was time to fly back home. Reflecting on this time, we realized that a love for this country and its people has grown within us. As a family, we are in the process of transferring long-term to Texas in order to follow God’s call. It is our plan to have the move completed by the end of this year.
