What we experience with God
FOR SOUL AND BELLY
In Thailand's South
Ancient buddhist temples, shrines and sculptures with golden ornaments - we’re walking the streets of Thailand’s oldest city, Nakhon Si Thammarat. People we encounter meet us with an open heart and we sense an atmosphere of possibilities and our faith rising. While praying in town it’s surprisingly easy to share about Jesus with it’s citizens. Almost every conversation ends in laying on hands and prayer, which is welcomely received.

Since a year our pioneering team lives about 900 km away from Nakhon, precisely in Pattaya. There we met a pastor, who’s leading a Thai church with his wife while they started other churches as well and are still counselling those. Both come from Thailands South, from the town of Nakhon Si Thammarat. There they also founded a church along with a children’s ministry. So we took a 12 hour road trip to support their annual children’s and Christmas service.
The Helper comes
Besides included music and fun - like it’s supposed to be - we could share the Gospel to 100 Thai families. Ending his preaching with a call to salvation we saw 40 hands going up and people prayed to proclaim Jesus their saviour.
But that evening wasn’t for the soul only, but also for the belly: The families received food such as rice, oil and noodles. Most people joining are living a simple life. But heavy rainfall in the recent weeks had flooded many areas of the city and its province - many had been affected. But that night they experienced, that in their time of need Jesus stepped in!
Great news
It is great news: „To us a child is born - Jesus!“ He is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. The government indeed is on his shoulders. (Isaiah 9:5)
