What we experience with God
FIRE FOR THE CITY
The Holy Spirit in Pattaya
Where 200 people filled with hunger for the power of God come together, the Holy Spirit moves sovereignly and powerfully! We saw this in various places in Thailand. Starting in Pattaya: We invited and called, and friends of different churches and ministries showed up - more than we dared to expect. For three nights we gathered, worshipped Jesus and Walter Heidenreich preached. With each altar call we had to create more room because the number of people increased and along with them increased the hunger for an encounter with God.
Many visitors experienced the Holy Spirit for the first time - they had heard some things, but hadn't experienced Him firsthand. A father wrote to us after FIRE FOR THE CITY to describe how the three days had transformed his entire family. We are grateful to be able to serve the people of Pattaya in this way.
The call continued in churches in Si Racha and then in Bangkok. People were being called to put their lives in Jesus' hands and allow themselves to be led by the Holy Spirit!
Nakhon for Jesus
In December, our team already went to Nakhon Si Thammarat. This time, we were able to first minister to leaders from the southern provinces of Thailand. Afterward, we took the opportunity to share about Jesus in the prison: The teenagers and young men heard the gospel. For some, the common Thai smiles turned into tears, and the inmates gladly received blessings and prayers.
On the final evening, the best news was shared: "God is love, and He has a plan for your life." People who had just given their lives to Jesus came under the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit simply seemed to enjoy ministering to the Thai people in power and meeting them.
Although Thailand is currently experiencing political turmoil, we are experiencing one thing clearly in the Kingdom of God: The heavens above Thailand are open, and people are hungry for a real encounter with Jesus.
