I was living on the street again and drinking a lot. One evening in fall, I decided to spend the night at the Shelter, but it wasn't open yet. They took me to their alcolhol rehab center and I was allowed to stay there. In addition to my alcohol problem, I had had gout for years and was in so much pain that sometimes I could only lie down. I took a lot of expensive medicines, but nothing helped.

Shortly after I entered rehab, I was prayed for in a worship service. Although I hadn't told anyone about my sickness, I was amazed to discover in the following days that all my pain was gone and has gone ever since - I am completely healed from gout! I now know: God has power and he heals! I am so thankful for all that God has done in my life. I want to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and get to know him more deeply.
