More and more I felt that God was calling me not just to help out here and there as a volunteer, but to become full-time staff at the Father's House. At first, I wasn't sure if I could do it. It meant leaving my grandfather and my dream job behind, but God kept confirming it. One verse I received during this time was Jer. 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I have toward you, thoughts of peace and not of sorrow, to give you a future and a hope.” And that future would look so much better than I could have ever imagined! In 2015, I finally quit my job and moved into the Father's House, where I live and serve to this day. I am so thankful for God's guidance and provision! Through these years, he has restored my heart, delivered me from fears, helped me to open up, and given me his perspective on myself - that I am valuable and wanted. And that he can use me. It is such a privilege to invest into children coming from similar backgrounds to mine and to see God move in their lives.
