When we first went to Mongolia in 1992, we distributed relief supplies to help the people in their difficult economic situation after the collapse of communism. Furthermore, we wanted to share the Good News of God's love with them. These two concerns continue to let us be on the move to this day. Our missions among the homeless, alcoholics, and marginalized people help those in need. Likewise, we want to reach people with the gospel.
HELP Mongolia
Shelter for the Homeless
A typical winter evening: -35 degrees, Ulan Bator frozen in ice and snow. Homeless people gather at the gate of our base, looking for a warm place to sleep. During the winter months, from November to April, we open our doors to the city's homeless through the Shelter. Up to 60 people come every night to get a hot meal, a place to sleep, shower and change clothes. The police also brings people to us. Since the Shelter started about 20 years ago (in the beginning, we drove a bus through the streets at night and picked up drunks who were lying there), countless homeless people have been saved from freezing to death. In addition, we offer them rehabilitation with us or refer them to other rehabilitation facilities.
1.000 Doors
In our carpentry workshop in Ulgii, we are building doors for families who are too poor to afford good doors. Our goal is to build up to 1,000 doors in the next few years, reaching up to 1,000 families.
Rehabilitation work „Nädvariin Jim“
There is hope! There is a way to start a new life and be free from addiction! This is what our rehabilitation ministry stands for. We have residential communities at all three locations where we give men with addictions and other life problems the opportunity to start a new life. “Nädvariin Jim” means "Way of Hope". Many men get a new perspective on their lives, reconcile with their families, and get restored. Some of the leaders of our work originally came to us as rehabilitants and are now responsible for entire ministries.
child feeding
The first children are often at the door before we officially open. "I have no reason to be sad here," says one girl. The center is a place to go, a refuge for children and teenagers from difficult backgrounds in the area. They get a hot meal and help with their homework. They can learn to play the guitar, do handicrafts, just play and spend time with our staff, who are also available for personal conversations. We also visit the children's families and bring food and clothing when needed.
Children and Youth Center
Sledding, a barbecue by the river or a visit to a museum: during the school holidays, our staff members organize special activities for the children. And in the summer, there is a camp in the countryside that is eagerly anticipated months in advance!
Jesus Family
Prayer and Worship
We really love to go to the mountain tops and drive across the country to lift up Jesus over the cities and villages of this wonderful country and to pray for the nation. We gather in our IHOWP (International House of Worship and Prayer), make room for the Holy Spirit so we can encounter him and worship Jesus. We also come together for non-denominational worship services.
Education
At the REVIVAL SCHOOL Mongolia, we train Mongolians for missions. We want to equip them to go to the nations as missionaries and share what they have received from Jesus. Practical and evangelistic outreaches are vital elements of the school. We also run seminars and conferences together with the body of Christ in Mongolia.
Evangelism and Missions
An entire nation for Jesus: It is important to us that Mongolia is reached with the gospel and that people are getting saved. We do home visits, go to the streets, and drive across the country to share the Good News.
Abroad
The Philippines, Thailand, Uganda, Europe ... Mongolians are called to take the gospel to other nations. That's why we run the REVIVAL SCHOOL and why we are increasingly going abroad on mission trips and sending long-term missionaries.
